A Day on the Jeanneau Prestige 38S: What to Expect

The Jeanneau Prestige 38S is our 11.7-metre motor yacht built for comfort and speed. Two cabins, one bathroom, air conditioning, a full galley, and enough deck space for 10 guests to spread out. This is what a typical day aboard looks like.

9:00am: Boarding at the Marina

You meet your skipper at the marina in Lefkada. The boat is prepped and ready. Towels, snorkelling gear, and a cooler with water and soft drinks are onboard. If you have brought food for lunch, the skipper stows it in the galley fridge.

A quick safety briefing covers the basics: where life jackets are stored, how to use the swim ladder, and the plan for the day. Your skipper will suggest a route based on the weather and wind conditions.

9:30am: Heading South Along the Coast

The Prestige 38S cruises comfortably at 18-20 knots. Within 30-40 minutes you are at the first swimming spot. The twin 320HP diesel engines are smooth and quiet at cruising speed, and the air conditioning keeps the cabin cool if anyone wants to step inside.

10:30am: First Swim Stop

The skipper anchors in a sheltered bay. The swim platform drops down and you step straight into the water. Most mornings, you will have the bay to yourself. Grab the snorkelling gear and explore the rocky edges where fish gather, or float on your back and stare at the white cliffs above.

12:30pm: Lunch

Two options: eat onboard using the galley (bring your own provisions or pre-order a catering platter), or pull into a seaside taverna. Many of the best tavernas in the Ionian are only accessible by boat. Your skipper knows which ones are worth the stop.

2:00pm: Second and Third Beach Stops

After lunch, the skipper moves to a second beach. The afternoon tends to be warmer, so the air-conditioned cabin becomes a welcome retreat between swims. By mid-afternoon, you visit a third spot before the return journey.

5:30pm: Golden Hour Return

The return trip is timed for golden hour. The Lefkada coastline glows in late afternoon light, and the sea is often glassy calm. This is when everyone moves to the foredeck with a drink and watches the scenery pass.

What Is Included

Every charter includes the skipper, fuel, towels, snorkelling equipment, a cooler with water and soft drinks, and full insurance. You just bring sunscreen, a hat, and whatever food or drinks you want for the day.
